Five minutes with Logiworx Senior Consultant Ernesto Godinez

Originally from Mexico, Ernesto joined Logiworx at the start of 2011. He has 10 years consulting experience and has worked with numerous industries including pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods, electronics, automotive, industrial, resources, fast moving consumer goods & retail. He has worked on a range of projects including supply chain network optimisation, inventory optimisation, distribution routes planning, scheduling & planning, advance planning systems implementation & sales & operations planning.

My first job was … Process Engineer at HP (Hewlett-Packard). It only lasted for 1 year as I resigned to go do my Masters in the UK
 
The best thing about my current job is … The guys at Logiworx take a very down to earth approach both in life and in consulting. They are not fussed about things that are cosmetic / irrelevant to the core of the client’s concerns
 
The worst thing about my current job is … Sometimes you have to work long hours, especially around deadlines.
 
My greatest achievement has been … I guess moving to Australia (twice now!) without previous connections / working experience here.  A tough move, but it has proven to be very rewarding and life-changing.

My greatest challenge has been … Funny, but to certain extent, the same as the above (I guess this is where I can validate that those things that require sacrifices are the ones that you end up appreciating the most)
 
My greatest influence has been …My Dad and Mum, they set a very good example of the importance of values in life
 
My motto in life is … Do what you need to do to change your circumstances if you don’t like things, don’t just complain!
 
Friends say I am … Kind of nice, shy and without much patience
 
Not many people know that I … Not very shy after all!
 
If I wasn’t me I’d like to be … An IT entrepreneur or a NBA Basketball Star

Outside of my job I like to … Spend time with my family, travelling and reading
